Salary Range: $40, 000 - $60, 000 / year DOE
Litigation Paralegal Requirements:
- 2 years of litigation experience, specifically handling active caseloads in a legal setting
- Personal injury experience is highly preferred, with a focus on plaintiff cases
- Proficient with legal software tools such as My Case for case management and LexisNexis for legal research
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a high-volume environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision
- While no specific educational degree or paralegal certificate is required, extensive practical experience in a similar role is essential
- Manage a current caseload of 100 cases, emphasizing 25-30 active litigation files
- Order and manage medical records accurately and efficiently
- Set up and track liens, ensuring all financial aspects are handled with precision
- Maintain an organized calendar and ensure all deadlines are met
- Handle e-filing procedures and maintain up-to-date knowledge of court requirements and procedures
- Prepare for and assist with trial preparations, ensuring all necessary materials are ready and available
- Facilitate regular client interactions, providing updates and managing communications effectively
- Collaborate closely with other department members to ensure seamless case management
